Rachel and Nathaniel booked with me at the start of of the year, and from that meeting, I knew they would be a great couple to work with. Their engagement session was back in July and the weather looked gloomy to say the least! It was overcast and had rained all day. When the evening rolled around and it was time for the shoot, the clouds started to part, and a beautiful sunset (with awesome blue/purple clouds) ended the day. Sneaks from that session can be seen on Instagram and Facebook! That same weather befell their wedding day. Started a tad gloomy, but a beautiful sunset hit right after their first look and continued for their ceremony at Osprey’s at Belmont Bay.
From starting with the girls in the Hampton Inn just down the road, to hanging with the guys and seeing Nathaniel get iced by his fraternity bros – the day was just fun as hell, and absolutely spectacular. These two made me feel like part of the family and the group of friends (even though I am in a different fraternity than Nathaniel — also from a different school). It is so fun to spend all day with a couple (who become your friends by the end of the day) on their wedding day, and be privy to their most intimate moments. One of the funniest stories I have ever heard during a toast, and one of the loveliest toasts to Rachel by her new brother-in-law. I love getting down with them on the dance floor and photographing every step of the way for them to have and remember forever.
Congrats to the happy couple! I am so excited for 2027 when they open sealed letters to read (with a delicious bottle of wine) on their 10th anniversary. Enjoy a few sneak peeks from this lovely day.
