Just because you’re having a destination wedding, doesn’t mean that we can’t still work together! Take Daniela and Andrew for example. They’re getting married in a beautiful tropical location later this year, but they still wanted engagement photos.
Enter me! (He says in parentheses.)
We chatted and I could feel the love from these two immediately. We scheduled a beautiful day in March (which is really impressive given we had lots of frigid days and 4 inches of snow!), and hit the town for this epic engagement session.
We started at the Art Museum of the Americas right off Constitution Avenue and the Organization of American States. That blue room is a fave sleeper spot of mine in DC and that garden/courtyard of the OAS is equally gorgeous!
After that we stopped over at the Freedom Park in Arlington (Rosslyn) and walked to the Netherlands Carillon (the big blue bell tower by the Marine Corps – Iwo Jima memorial). These two locations held a great deal of personal meaning to Daniela and Andrew.
When choosing a spot (or spots) for engagement photos, it can be cool to choose a location (or locations) that mean something to you both. It can be the place you met, your first date, a favorite date of yours (maybe where you said you loved each other), or just a place that you both just really love for no reason other than it’s neat! Whatever the reason, it will only stand to enhance your love in the photos and make it shine!
Enjoy some of my faves from the session!
